HOSTING: CO-LOCATION
Co-location is the housing of your server (client provided only) within our Data Centres in either Southampton or Redbus, London. Within these Data Centres, your server will be connected to a resilient power supply protected by UPS.
All critical systems are monitored 24 hours a day and clients have full access to their equipment by prior arrangement (all access must be pre-booked one day in advance with the Data Centre).

Power Supply
UPS installed to cover minor power outages
Our policy guarantees all our customers a redundant high-capacity, stable and reliable power supply, with easy scalable expansion in the future. A minimum of 1Kw per square metre secure power is available, with power isolated between customer and maintained indefinitely, plus on-site generation which can deal with both customer and plant load whilst recharging the UPS.
All our facilities are built to at least an N+1 standard; put simply, this means that if two generators are required to provide non-stop power, then there’ll be three installed. So rather than guaranteeing 99.99% availability, the guarantee is 100%.
Power and Equipment Outages
IzR Solutions will provide a minimum of 48 hours notice of any planned power or equipment outages except in the case of emergencies requiring immediate or shorter notice action.
Planned Maintenance
Any planned maintenance that is carried out by IZR Solutions will take place between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 in order to minimise disruption during peak times.
IzR Solutions will provide a minimum of 12 hours notice for any maintenance that is carried out on the network except in the case of emergencies or network failure requiring immediate or shorter notice action.
IZR have Planned maintenance windows, 6 slots in a year between 7pm & 6am. Full Maintenance Calendar is available upon request.
Security
Physical Security: All servers are located in a secure building with both physical and electronic security including securely sectioned areas.
CCTV monitoring and recording and a NACOSS approved intruder detection system protects our Data Centre.
Our Redbus data centre features totally comprehensive 24/7 security to keep your equipment 100% safe. This means our customers have the protection of security barriers, 24x7x365 monitoring by on-site personnel to include visual verification of all persons entering the building, CCTV video camera surveillance and a security breach alarm provides the control room with information.
Client provided server
IzR Solutions is unable to provide any support for hardware/component failure associated with client provided servers. It is the client’s responsibility to arrange on-site maintenance cover, through manufacturers, third party or own staff provision.
Access to Colocated servers
The client will have physical access to their server by prior appointment only
All appointments for physical access to co-located servers must be made through the Data Centre via telephone on 08707 45 15 15.
IzR Solutions is able to provide the loan of a monitor, keyboard and mouse for standard SVGA /PS2 client servers at a no additional charge.
Access to the buildings, data floors and individual area’s are via individually programmed Proximity Access Cards (PAC), usage of the PAC is logged centrally by time and date. The cards cannot be used by anyone else, whenever you swipe your card tag over the sensors to gain access to the building, your digital photograph will be displayed on our security systems which are continuously monitored by our on-site technicians. The technicians will then verify the information and only when satisfied, allow access.
Environmental Monitoring
IzR Solutions Data Centre is air-conditioned and kept at constant temperature level 24 hours a day.
Particle Ionisation smoke detectors are used to detect fire and smoke within the Data Centre.
To ensure optimum performance, all data floors are maintained at a constant 21°C ± 2°C and relative humidity is kept at 50% ± 10%. Both are continually monitored via the BMS.
Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) is installed in every facility. These highly sensitive aspirating smoke detectors are linked to the Building Management system which is monitored continually from a network operations centre; provide very early detection to help avoid fire, loss and business disruption. This is coupled with a gas based fire retardant that is environmentally friendly, to put out fires instantly, without damaging equipment.
All Redbus Interhouse facilities operate computerised building management systems that monitor and remotely operate sensors covering electrical, mechanical, fire detection and leak detection systems.
Network Monitoring
IzR Solutions Data Centre monitors network connections 24 hours a day.
IP address allocation
IzR Solutions will allocate IP addresses within the terms permitted by RIPE - Réseaux IP Européens

Domain Name Hosting / DNS records
IzR Solutions will include DNS hosting for domains for each co-location customer.
IzR Solutions can register new domains for co-location clients at discounted rates. All new registrations will be in accordance with the issuing authority rules.
If IZR Solutions registers a new domain for the use of a client, the client agrees to the issuing authority rules and agrees to indemnify IZR Solutions against any claims that might arise from the registration of the said domain.
Software Support and Maintenance
The client accepts sole responsibility for the installation of third party software.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that they are in possession of valid licences for all software used on their Colocated server.
IzR Solutions is able to provide a ‘remote hands’ service for clients.
IZR Solutions’ technical staff can execute specific commands as requested either in writing or during a telephone conversation with the client. Charges will apply at our standard rate of £75/hour (1 hour minimum charge).
The client is responsible for any conflicts that third part software installation may cause. If IZR Solutions is asked to provide any intervention to resolve conflict issues then a charge will be made at the company’s standard consultancy rate (minimum of £75 / hour with a minimum charge of 1 hour). Additional charges may apply for services carried out by third part staff.
Server failure
IzR Solutions will power cycle a client server on receipt of a service failure ticket during office hours (08:00 – 18:00 GMT Monday to Friday) free of charge.
Network Monitoring per server
IzR Solutions will provide 24/7 monitoring of 5 TCP/IP services or ports on one IP address or 1 service on 5 IP addresses or a combination of the two.
In the event of a service or port failing to respond IZR Solutions will notify the client by telephone/email/SMS/pager to determine the required action.
Pricing
Server housing incurs an initial set up charge together with an annual fee for rack space:
Redbus server hosting is available in 6U Segments only.
An annual rental charge applies for the required bandwidth/data transfer level.
VLAN Ports are also available. Pricing is available upon request
Please note: 1 'U' = 44.5 x 600 x 800mm (H x W x D). Customer can use any operating system they desire.
Please note that all stated prices exclude VAT at the current rate of 17.5%.
Payment terms - Installation, housing charges and first quarter/annual fees due on receipt of order.
3 months notice required for cancellation of service.
Minimum 12 month contract for Redbus services.
