DIAL-UP SETTINGS
Configuring Windows 2000
The following pages will show you how to setup a connection manually within Windows 2000
Standard Windows 2000 Dial Up Connection
1) To create a new connection, you will need to open Network and Dial-Up Connections . Goto the "my computer" icon on your desktop then "control panel" then select (double click)) Network and Dial-Up Connections.
2) Select (double click) Make New Connection
3) In this window select option 2 "Dial-up to the Internet" Click Next
4) In this window select option 3 " I want to set up my Internet connection manually " then click on Next
5) Leave this option as the default option " I connect through a phone line and a modem " Click on Next
6) Enter the telephone number that you wish to connect to. Our standard dialup number is 0845 6015361. Click on Next
7) Enter your username and password which is listed on your Certificate of Registration. Click on Next
8) Enter the name of the connection you are creating e.g izR Solutions. Click on Next
9) At this stage we are only setting up the new connection so select " No " Click on Next
10) Well done.. we have finished setting up the connection. Click on Finish
11) Your new izR connection is ready to use, to connect (double click) on the izR icon.
12) Click your username is correct and click on Dial
13) You are now on your way to getting connected to izR Solutions
